This can happen when a person has a personal or financial stake in a decision that they are making, or when they have a personal relationship with someone who is involved in the decision.
Purpose
To provide guidelines for identifying and addressing conflicts of interest in order to uphold ethics, integrity, and transparency.
Scope
Applies to all Ktown Team members including board, staff, volunteers, partners.
Policy
A conflict exists when personal or professional interests may interfere with acting in Ktown Team's best interests.
All actual, potential, or perceived conflicts must be disclosed promptly in writing.
The appropriate supervisor, manager or board will determine steps to address the conflict, such as:
Confidentiality will be maintained during the disclosure and resolution process.
Failure to disclose or address conflicts may warrant disciplinary action including termination.
This policy will be periodically reviewed and updated by the board.
