Emergency is Ktown Team's preparedness and response tool for the Koreatown community. It covers disaster planning, emergency alerts, training resources, and coordination during crises - from earthquakes to public health emergencies.
The tool includes a community disaster plan with evacuation routes, safe meeting points, and protocols for assisting vulnerable residents. All materials are available in multiple languages. A multi-channel alert system sends notifications via text, email, and voice calls, integrated with the rest of the platform for streamlined access to critical information.
Ktown Team also supports a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) - trained volunteers who provide immediate assistance during emergencies and coordinate with official services. Training sessions cover first aid, CPR, fire safety, earthquake preparedness, and mental health first aid.
Community members can stay involved by signing up for alerts, attending monthly preparedness meetings through Events, volunteering for the CERT program, or sharing professional skills that support the community's safety infrastructure.
