Koreatown Needs You
Koreatown is one of the most diverse and densely populated neighborhoods in Los Angeles. The challenges here - housing, public safety, language access, economic opportunity - are real and ongoing. Ktown Team exists because residents decided to organize around those challenges instead of waiting for someone else to.
Getting involved doesn't require a specific skill set or background. Some people contribute technical skills. Others bring lived experience, cultural knowledge, or simply time they're willing to share. The community benefits from all of it.
How Ktown Team Works
We operate with a flat hierarchy - no chain of command, open decision-making, and a belief that the people closest to the problems should lead the solutions. Our work is organized into teams that focus on specific areas like housing, public safety, health, education, and technology.
Everything we build is designed to be transparent. Our policies, finances, and tools are public. If you want to understand how the organization works before getting involved, the Getting Started guide is a good place to begin.
